Square Diamond? 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1

Here's a question for you ....
Why is the infield playing area referred to as a diamond when it's a sqaure ?

I guess from the batters view it is a diamond!

Another question, which of the four bases does not entirely lie within the diamond?

As ours are never staked or tied down it could be any of them
I have set in my loft at the moment - do they count?
Think the answer you're looking for is home base/plate

ha ha true, ours are never where they should be!

the answer is 2nd base! All other are inside the lines, the center of 2nd is on the "point" of the diamond.
